This coffee has notes of floral fruit like melon, apricot and papaya, sweet lemon-lime candy acidity, and a clean jasmine, tea-like mouthfeel.

This coffee comes from our friend Micki Alamirew. After being offered to take over a wetmill in Idido, he decided to instead partner together to own and improve the wetmill and water recycling process, and is producing coffee from his partners’ farm, along with other local smallholder farmers in the community that pick their own cherries and process them here.

Micki is originally from Yirgacheffe Ethiopia, and also owns Lucy Coffee House here in Aurora, Colorado. In addition to exporting and importing coffee and teff flour, he is very much part of creating community through coffee in Ethiopia and here in our own city.
